Associate Public Sector Continuity Professional (APSCP)
Apply for CertificationThe Associate Public Sector Continuity Professional certification is for those who are new to our industry. APSCP certification supports entry-level proficiency with some knowledge in public sector recovery planning, but who have not yet acquired a great deal of experience in the field. Starting your career path in public sector continuity management through APSCP certification demonstrates to your peers, colleagues and management that professionalism within the industry.
The Certification Process
The APSCP level is for individuals with less than two years of industry experience, but who have minimum knowledge in public sector planning, and have successfully passed the Public Sector Examination. APSCP is for individuals with some knowledge in public sector planning, but who have not yet acquired the necessary experience for certification at a higher level. This certification designation also targets interested individuals who have expertise in a related field such as emergency responders who are interested in understanding a broader scope of recovery planning) or in fields not directly related to public sector planning. The application must conform to all the requirements applicable to the desired certification level. Those wishing to remain at the APSCP level of certification need only to pay their annual fee to maintain the active status of their certification.
APSCP Certification Details
To apply for APSCP certification, all applicants must:
- Pass the Public Sector Examination with a minimum score of 75%.
- After receiving notification of a passing score, complete the Online Application for Professional Certification by logging into your DRI account.

Important Note : This entire process can take several weeks. DRI International contacts all applicants upon approval. Once approved, professional certification status and recertification period documents are provided. If you are not approved and wish to re-apply, contact the Certification Department for additional information on how to re-apply.
Applicants are reminded that all course, exam, and results materials are confidential and should not be shared online or with other certified professionals. Sharing exam materials may result in revocation of existing certification credentials and possible legal action. All Certified Professionals must comply with the DRI International Code of Ethics to remain in good standing.
Certification Maintenance
Recertification is required for all certification levels. Regular recertification requires an ongoing commitment to continuing education and industry activities. There is a yearly maintenance fee for all certification levels. There are no CEAPs required for APSCP.
